Bullet Journal – My October Setup

October is here, yay! I’ve started to study again, work again on the Etsy shop and on my all side projects. Woah, not easy at all but it’s nice to have things to do all the week long, and the moments of rest are more enjoyable. Besides, I can read a lot more while commuting or between one meeting and another.

Let’s talk about juicy bullet journal things!

This is my new setup for October: the warm shades and the watercolor style stayed, but I banned the pyramidal calendar (I need to work on this a little more in order to make it…usable). But there’s a huge new entry: the labels! I’ve cut a small amout of paper (just the blank space on the side, actually), because I was in the desperate search of some further organization troughout the month.

The Cover

This is the front page. I made an illustration about the symbols about October: ghosts, as it hosts Halloween, and teas. On the right page there’s a very funny “bucket list” section. Those are the things I love about October.

  • I love to carve pumpkins (and I’m quite good at it indeed). I’ve started more than 10 years ago, when here in Italy Halloween was just a strange tradition from the USA and we were not absolutely going to have nothing to do with it. Now it seems we’ve adopted Halloween as well…and I’m enjoying it with years and years of experience and expertise in the fild, yo-oh. Besides, when you carve a pumpkin you’ll (maybe) get to have a lot of pumpkin cookies and pumpkin bread. Cristian loves them, and I do too.

Calendar + Goals

I’ve finally bought a goniometer, so I was able to make a decent circolar monthly calendar. I love it and it’s so pretty!

I’m on two big projects right now, apart from the academic side of my life. I’m so happy to work with and for fantastic people, and this is why I love my job as an illustrator and a bullet journalist.

Habit tracker + Reading List

I’ve wanted to try a vertical Habit Tracker instead of the horizontal one. I’m not happy with the result, just because the “tracker Ottobre” title isn’t showing as much as I would. But I also experienced that, when it comes to habit trackers, you need to be patient and wait for it to be filled up.

Weekly Layout

Back to minimal! This is my spread for the next week, and it’s pretty simple and clear. I’ve just added a Goals section, a Budget section and the Outfit tracker for my workdays. Maybe I’ll add some doodles during the week, we’ll see.

If you like my setup for this month, let me know with a comment (or a share)!

With love,
