Bullet Journal September Setup!

Plusbizarre Bullet Journal - September Setup

Hi everyone, I’ve been missing for a long long time and I’m just starting to apologize about it. In facts, I’ve been through a fantastic vacation across Umbria, Lazio and Toscana, three wonderful Regions of Italy. It was a beautiful (almost artistic, historical and gastonomical) trip, but it was also a very sad one. We felt the fear during and after the big earthquake that shook all the center part of my country. We were overwelmed by the news of entire towns and little villages destroyed to the ground. So, as you can easily imagine, I was not so in the mood for writing.

Now I’m back home, I’m in the middle of the typical free time “home restyling“: me and Cristian are trying to add some sense to our home study room, and we’re almost done actually.

But let’s talk about September! It’s almost here and I’m so happy because I really appreciate summer, but those high temperatures and me we do not go along together so well. I love spring and autumn, so I’m in love with those transition months like September, when you can experience both chilly and warm sensations in the very same day!

My bullet journal is totally ready for this new month and new season, so let me introduce you to it and its new style:

This month is watercolor parade! I was skeptical about the combo Leuchtturm1917 paper + watercolors, but the result is talking by itself: i love it! My to do list is full of important things to do ASAP, as you can see. I’m managing to pair some of those activities together, for better good!

A pyramidal calendar? Yep! Why? Because I’ve seen calendar in the shape of a circle, of a clock, of a rectangle, of a square, but never in the shape of a triangle! It’s working pretty good by now, but I’m trying new ways to implement the UX of it (once you study/work as a UX designer, you’ll be always a UX designer).

Close view of the habit tracker. I understand that my habit tracker works good only with a grid and I can compare the days with a quick glance. I’ve seen the fitness challenge by Jillian Michaels on another bujo (don’t remember who it belonged to, sorry), so I decided to try it out.

As you can see, I’ve made a huge mistake in my calendar. Not every month starts with a Monday 1st, stupid me! There was no way to fix it in a pretty way so I decided to write above the letter and just let it go.

What do you think about a pyramidal calendar (without mistakes, obviously)? I like the shape since I love triangles, and with those warm colors it reminds me about the Deatlhy Hallows thing.

Yes. I’m a Potterhead.

So into it.

Ravenclaw, that’s so obvious.

And. That’s all.

You now know how mad I am.

Hope to be mad as you about it, at least.

So, aeemh! Let’s continue our journey through fantastic watercolor shades of red and yellow:

Monthly goals! I’ll use leaves of all forms and shapes to track my overall goals for September, and I really hope to reach 2K followers of Instagram (so there’ll be a sense on making a huge giveaway, as I keep promise for months).

No grids, no lines. Lot of space and colors, little doodling, more minimalistic style than August for sure. I don’t have need (for now) of meal plans or outfit logs, I just want more space and more…chillout bullet journaling. I’m still on vacation for this week, so I added a “Movie Night” section to track all the movies we’re going to watch on our fantastic sofa with a lot of purrr-friends.

I used my Aquash Brushes, black indian ink and watercolors (by Winsor and Netwon). Just that. No ink bleeding, no waterspots.

Let me know what you think about all this new things I introduced in my bullet journal. Questions and suggestions are lovely accepted as always.
